Map and Street Safety

What does it take for a 5 yo to nap? Apparently a two mile walk!

Today for Kids' Club, we did a map and street safety exercise. I created a map with directions to the local park (1 mile each way) as well as safety questions and we set out on our walk. The kids (9 kids--ages 1-6 learned about following directions, street signs, and crossing safety). When we got to the park, we had lunch and played for a bit before the clouds rolled in, then we walked back.

ALL of the kids napped!

Bet you enjoyed naptime..
Kilynn napped today too, but only because she's sick.

Sounds like a fun camping trip. Looking forward to seeing the pictures. ;0)
