Windfarm

During our trip to Ohio, we drove next to this very impressive Wind Farm near Hays, Kansas. If you google "wind farm I-70" you can read some articles about the wind farms that are popping up around Kansas. There's much controversy over how they will affect the landscape and yet I've seen some pretty ugly buildings in towns :) . Here is the beauty we saw:

Jaci and I had to go to New York last month and as we headed out of Vermont to NY, we passed a wind farm. It was the first time I personally saw one, and was amazed. There is a sense of beauty to them.

We have a company putting some in Pueblo which is about 25 minutes from us. My father-in-law is friends with one of the men involved and the gentleman gave my father-in-law a lego windmill which was made only for the company - Vortex and not sold anywhere. The boys are putting it together now and it does run on batteries - we laughed about how it should be solar power. Anyway, I will share a pic when they are finished and we are planning a tour when the mills are finished.

I agree with you - Go Kansas!
