Quechee Gorge VT

On Monday, we had to head up to Hanover NH for an appointment. When we were done we drove over to Quechee Gorge in Vermont. You can overlook the entire gorge from the Vermont Route 4 highway bridge. It provides quite a scenic and wild view of the shallow valley that the Ottauquechee Rover has cut its way through.

I took a picture of the sign for the bridge, mainly because it was built the same year my father-in-law was born (1911). He is still going strong at 97, as is the bridge. :-)

Here are pictures of Pooh looking down both sides of the bridge overlooking the Gorge.

It would have been really nice of the foliage was in full bloom. AS we drove up there along Route 89, there were pockets of beautiful colors. I will take some pictures tomorrow (Saturday) of the colors, and then, sadly, Pooh will be moving on from us.

The fall colors are beautiful! We had only two short weeks of fall colors, but I did manage to get some pictures that I'll post soon.

Thanks Mary, Pooh had such a great time with you!!
